Christopher J. Smith is a Trial Attorney with Brown & Barron, focusing on helping families who have suffered from nursing home abuse and neglect. Chris has over 15 years of litigation experience. He spent eight years of his career as a prosecutor, representing victims in a variety of cases including domestic violence, sexual offenses, property crimes, homicide, robberies, carjackings, and a variety of other felony offenses. After leaving the prosecutor’s office, Chris joined a Baltimore-based civil defense firm where he defended thousands of cases throughout Maryland involving complex accidental injuries and occupational diseases. His unique background and extensive courtroom experience are an asset to our firm and our clients.
Chris earned his law degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland, College Park in both Economics and Criminology. He is currently a member of the Maryland State Bar Association (MSBA).
