Finding the right nursing home for your elderly loved one is not a task to be taken lightly. Unfortunately, nursing home abuse and neglect are commonplace, affecting at least 10% of all seniors each year by some estimations, so the importance of choosing a reliable and highly rated nursing home cannot be overstated.
To help people find and choose a dependable nursing home, Newsweek has released its list of “Best Nursing Homes 2025,” featuring nursing homes and centers across the U.S. The list includes 1,050 nursing homes located in the 25 states with the most nursing home facilities based on data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS); a total of 14,858 were reviewed. Newsweek used four factors to determine which nursing homes deserved to be recognized as among the “best,” including performance data, recommendations from medical professionals, accreditations, and of course, resident satisfaction.
